Terms of Use

The friendly fine print.

Terms of use are usually written by lawyers, for lawyers. Ours are written for the teachers, parents, and kids who actually use the site.

1 — Free means free

Learnosaur is free for everyone: kids, families, classrooms, homeschools, libraries, and tutors. There is nothing to buy, no trial that expires, and no premium tier hiding the good stuff. You will never be asked for payment to learn here.

2 — Open source & open data

The site is open source, and the datasets behind the games are Creative Commons licensed. You may download, copy, remix, print, and redistribute them — no attribution required for classroom use. If you build something cool with them, that makes our day.

3 — Be kind to the site

Use Learnosaur the way it’s meant to be used: for learning and play. Please don’t try to break it, overload it, or pass it off as your own paid product. That’s the whole list of rules.

4 — No promises (the honest part)

Learnosaur is provided as-is. We work hard on the content, but a game or word list may occasionally contain a mistake, and the site may occasionally be down. It’s a learning companion, not a replacement for teachers, curriculum, or professional advice.

5 — Accounts (there aren’t any yet)

Right now nothing on Learnosaur requires an account, so there are no account terms. When the Teacher Hub opens, teacher accounts will come with their own short, plain-English terms — and students still won’t need accounts at all.

6 — Changes

If these terms change, we’ll update the date at the top and say what changed. The promises that matter — free forever, open source, privacy first — are the foundation of the project and are not up for revision.

That's everything. Now go play something — the games are this way.
